Collected Strands is an improvising chamber music ensemble composed of four fantastic musicians expressing sounds ranging from contemporary modal grooves to classical, folk, experimental, and ambient music. Volume 1 is the first of a set of recordings that capture the spontaneity and diversity of the quartet's musical creativity. The ensemble features Raphael Weinroth-Browne on cello, Leah Roseman on violin, James McGowan on piano, and Mike Essoudry on drums.
